Thanks so much for sharing specifics about these tools and how you use them together, aligned with the standards. I can apply all the new 3Rs with my class. As you know, thanks to our Blogging Buddies group, I am well underway with the blogging part. We just started with Newsela and I'm very excited to say it went really well. I was concerned because the reading levels of some of my students is below Newsela's lowest level, but with help they can read the article and they understand the vocabulary and content very well. The higher level readers have no trouble with the reading, but opportunities for pronunciation and discussion are very rich. I hadn't thought of trying Recap, but after reading about how much your students like it, I am looking forward to exploring it. I will keep you posted on how these tools evolve with my class.
